My Philosophy & Who I Am

I make art for truth-seekers and deep-thinkers.

Growing up, I was always different. My mind never worked like everyone else’s—I questioned everything, thought deeper than necessary, and often felt alienated from my peers. No matter how badly I wanted to fit in or how many times I tried to conform, I just couldn’t.

But one day, I decided to own who I was unapologetically. I don’t owe anyone anything and I don’t live my life to please others. Using the gift God has given me, I have made it my mission to reach others like me—those who have discovered themselves and those still searching, feeling trapped in a world that constantly tries to suppress their energy. We, too, need a community. You are not alone.

My art is my ministry; this is how God speaks to me most clearly. Even if I were in a crowd of a hundred and only one soul was touched, that would be enough. Despite this being my mission, please don’t look to me as a source of strength. Without the Spirit of God living on the inside of me, I am nothing. I am an imperfect human being, littered with flaws, and corrupted by sin. I have only been made new because of the love of Jesus. That is the same love I want to share with you.

If I had to categorize my art, I would consider myself a Contemporary Surrealist. My work explores the tension between reality and the subconscious, often delving into themes of emotional depth, existentialism, and human resilience. I am drawn to symbolism that reflects internal struggles and truths, often incorporating ghostly figures, distorted reflections, textures, and natural elements to represent impermanence, introspection, and the tangibility of emotions.

Each piece serves as both a mirror and a question, inviting viewers to confront the illusions within their own perceptions. While my work is grounded in surrealist tradition, it carries a contemporary edge—blending classical painting techniques with modern commentary on self-worth, identity, and unseen forces that shape our lives.

My personal work is not for sale, but I’d be more than happy to create a commissioned piece for you. Please contact info.heavenxyan@gmail.com for further inquiries. Thank you.
